Description:  “ Conservation is a state of harmony between people and land” World Nature Conservation Day acknowledges that a healthy environment is the foundation for a stable and healthy society. Everyday the environment is getting polluted with large scale use of non-biodegradable plastic (polythene), which has caused multiple problems in the society most common being the blockage of sewerage system. Further lot of stray cattle are dying after consuming waste plastic from the dumping pits. The fertility of soil of Punjab is also getting affected with the disposal of plastic in an unscientific manner that making the soil barren. On the occasion of 125th Anniversary Celebrations of CFMSS and in a bid to raise awareness of individuals about the health and environmental hazards of plastic, the students of 'Readers Club' of Our Lady of Fatima Convent Sec. School Patiala along with Sr. Flevy Principal, Sr. Maria Manager & Sisters distributed Jute bags, Stationary items and eatables to the students of ‘Masti Ki Pathshala’ on 28th July 2022. Students Of Our Lady of Fatima performed cultural items to encourage students of Masti Ki Pathshala. At the end, students shared following slogans:- "To Be Fantastic Don’t Litter with Plastic" "Har Vidyarthi Ko Jagaruk Hona Chahie, Desh Plastic Pradushan Se Mukt Hona Chahie" It was evident that when students visit such a place, they become more humble and learn to thank Almighty for being kind to them for providing all the luxuries and necessities of life .
