On January 13, Our Lady of Fatima Convent Secondary School, Patiala, celebrated Lohri with immense joy and fervor. The celebration was graced by a special guest, Ms. Ritika Gupta, an ex-Fatiman from the batch of 2011-12, who has recently been appointed as Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister. The school proudly honored her remarkable achievement, inspiring the students to aim high in life.
The event began with a heartfelt welcome song, followed by a soulful prayer dance that set a serene tone. The energy rose with a vibrant gidha performance, showcasing the cultural richness of Punjab. The principal, Sister Immaculate, blessed everyone and extended warm wishes for the festival and the year ahead.
The highlight of the celebration was the traditional bonfire, around which students and staff gathered to sing Sunder Mundriye Ho! and relish festive treats like revari and gajak. The program reflected the school’s commitment to celebrating cultural traditions while inspiring students to strive for excellence.
